SkinPen Treatment at Cosmo Laser

#1 In Brief
We offer treatment with SkinPen combined with Skinkó E, as well as Skinkó E alone for improving the skin around the eyes. Skinkó E is a biostimulating mesotherapy product containing hyaluronic acid, amino acids, and vitamins. The product provides intensive moisture and stimulates the skin's own cellular activity.
SkinPen is a medically certified microneedling device that creates controlled microchannels in the skin. This stimulates collagen production and increases the absorption of active ingredients.
The treatment is particularly suitable for:
- Fine lines around the eyes
- Dark circles
- Tired and dehydrated skin
- Mild skin laxity
- Mild uneven skin tone
The goal is to improve the skin's structure, firmness, and glow - and to provide a fresher, more rested appearance.
#2 Before Treatment
At the consultation, the skin condition is assessed and an individual treatment plan is developed.
Avoid blood-thinning preparations such as fish oil, aspirin, ibuprofen, and codeine 4 days before the treatment, as this may increase the risk of bruising.
The treatment area must be free of signs of infection, active herpes, wounds, or other skin irritations.
#3 During Treatment
SkinPen combined with Skinkó E
The skin is cleansed and disinfected. SkinPen is used with adjusted needle depth on the face, while Skinkó E is applied and penetrated through the microchannels in the skin. The treatment may feel warm and slightly stinging.
Skinkó E around the eyes
The skin is cleansed and disinfected. The product is injected superficially with a fine cannula in the periocular area. Mild stinging and tingling may occur during treatment.
#4 After Treatment
Immediately after treatment, the following may occur:
- Redness
- Moderate swelling
- Soreness
- Bruising around the eye area
It is recommended to:
- Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours
- Avoid strenuous physical activity for 48 hours
- Avoid sauna and solarium for 14 days
- Use sun protection SPF 30+
The skin will gradually improve over the following weeks.
#5 Number of Treatments and Expectations
For optimal results, 4-6 treatments are recommended with 2-4 week intervals.
Results build gradually as the treatment stimulates the skin's own collagen production. Maintenance is recommended 1-2 times annually depending on the skin's condition.
#6 Side Effects and Risks
Common and temporary reactions:
- Redness
- Swelling
- Soreness
- Itching
- Bruising
- Temporary dryness
Rare complications:
- Infection
- Allergic reaction
Contact the clinic if signs of infection appear such as increasing pain, redness, warmth, or fever.
#7 Contraindications
The treatment is not performed if:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active skin infection in the area
- Active herpes outbreak
- Autoimmune diseases (relative contraindication)
- Bleeding disorders
- Known allergy to ingredients
- Tendency to keloid scarring
#8 Consent
According to cosmetic treatment legislation, there is a 2-day waiting period before treatment can be performed when verbal information has been given.
